Link for national hill climb at Stocksbridge below on Sunday 25th Oct. Two wheelers present. Kev Couldwell (83) off at 12.23pm and myself (122) off at 1.02pm. Also ex wheeler Jake Tanner off at 11.27am.
Would be great to see some wheelers jerseys on the climb. They are serving hot drinks for spectators on the climb and there is a cafe opposite the start at the bottom.

Think you'll find they are going on the YHA trip on that day or at least returning from it.

Finished off preperations for nationals with this 2 stage. Really enjoyed the event. 2 really good climbs. Had it in the 39/25 at times on both. On the first climb i set off and had to stop and do a track stand for about 5 - 10secs as cars blocked the narrow road . Never mins it did'nt attect the placing.
Just 1 more week then i can look forward to my favourite pastime of drinking coffee and eating cake . I've pulled out of riding tomorrow after my partner gave birth to my first child a week ago. Haven't got enough fuel in the tank to subject myself to 1200yds of pain and I have greater priorities now!! Best of luck Rob.

Well done to Rob, just missed out breaking the 4 min barrier. What a climb, walked up it pushing the bike and that was hard enough! 18th Rob Watkinson Doncaster Wheelers 04:00.7 Got some photos and will post them a little later. It was a deceptive climb and the weather did not help!
Update: Photos now on the Club Web site on the Events page or follow this link: http://www.doncasterwheelers.info/images....limb%202009.htm
Videos do not work at the momment...come back soon!

Thanks for all the wheelers who were there for your support Hope you had a good day and safe ride home. Sorry could'nt speak to you after as we could'nt ride back down the climb. I had 5 mins slumped on my back on the grass at the top before embarking on the 3 or 4 miles back to HQ.
Thought Thurcroft cc did a sterling job with HQ, climb and loads of helpers.
